JACK PRASAD, a self-taught artist originally from the Fiji Islands. He discovered is love of art as a young child and revisited his talent in Canada. Initially experimenting with his natural artistic gift by using pen and ink, creating intricate drawings of classic boat, motorcycles and cars. After living in Vancouver, Canada for many years and appreciating the beautiful, scenic backdrops of west coast BC his focus changed to the stunning forest and spectacular ocean and water view s that we have to offer here in British Columbia.

 

Jack’s medium of choice is currently water color and acrylics for his style of artwork. He adds brilliant dimension to his artwork by layers of paints including fluorescent paint which was featured in the “Lumiere Noir” Collection. Definitely a statement  and conversation piece. His newest collection “West Coast White” is a softer, more simple approach. These original artwork pieces is inspired by winter white tones and natural west coast settings of Canada. This whiter, light tones of greys, blues and purple artwork is perfect for any space.

Jack Prasad's award-winning artwork is featured in numerous local golf courses, charity events, city halls and art shows throughout Greater Vancouver, Canada. Hi is often in the local Tri-city / Maple Ridge newspapers for various fundraising and charitable contributions. He is an activate member of the Federation of Canadian Artist, Port Moody Art Association, Garibaldi Art Club and Art Focus.
